Ramsey started racing BMX at Armadillo Downs in Conroe, Texas at seven years of age. As a teenager he began riding and racing road bikes with local clubs and bike shops in Houston. After moving to San Antonio for college he built his first mountain bike and began racing in the early days of the Texas mountain bike scene. After graduating from Trinity University and moving to Austin, he continued racing mountain and road bikes. Over the years his passion for the sport has driven him to try his legs at cyclocross and gravel racing as well.
Ramsey has been on the podiums for road races and criteriums like Pace Bend, Copperas Cove, Tour of New Braunfels, San Marvelous Race, Driveway Series, Matrix Challenge, University Oaks, and Tree of Life. He has also achieved Texas State Championships in cyclocross and Super D and a podium finish in the inaugural Texas Gravel Championship.
When not racing or training Ramsey is a mechanical designer for a local aerospace and defense contractor.
